About this project.

The Lower Parel Project is a self-initiated project that I started after noticing that many businesses in Lower Parel were not receiving the recognition and attention they deserved, despite being located in one of Mumbai's busiest and most well-connected neighborhoods. As a resident of Lower Parel, I have seen firsthand how the area combines a large residential population, significant daily foot traffic, and a unique mix of businesses, culture, and development. This project was created to explore and document what makes Lower Parel special, while helping residents, visitors, and people across Mumbai discover the many places, businesses, and stories that contribute to the character of the area.

I'm the founder of The Lower Parel Project — a web development initiative helping local businesses build an online presence. I'm pursuing the IB Diploma with interests in business management, economics, and finance, and I serve as Head of IT at The InnerBliss Foundation, an international youth-led organisation. Outside academics, I play tennis and pickleball, practice the bansuri flute, and have delivered a TEDx Club talk at my school. I'm driven by a passion for technology, business, and community impact — and I love building initiatives that bridge the digital divide for small businesses.

How we find stores

How we find stores

We walk one lane at a time. Each store gets a visit, a conversation with the owner, a photo, a phone number, and a short note about what makes it worth a stop. Nothing is paid, nothing is sponsored.
